Our dams are the foundation of our program here at The Blessed Barnyard. Each one has been carefully selected not only for her beauty, but for her temperament, intelligence, and nurturing nature. They are more than just part of our breeding program – they are deeply loved members of our family.

Our girls are raised right here on our homestead and are involved in daily life. They are affectionate, attentive, and naturally intuitive, which carries over into how they care for their puppies. From the very beginning, our dams provide a strong emotional and behavioral foundation that helps shape confident, secure puppies.

The Role of Our Dams

A puppy’s earliest experiences come from their mother, and that influence is lasting. Our dams model calm behavior, social interaction, and responsiveness during those critical first weeks of life.

Rowan has that fun, confident energy we love, paired with a sweet, affectionate side that makes her just as enjoyable to cuddle as she is to watch in action.Rowan is staying here with us as a future addition to our breeding program, and we couldn’t be more excited about her. She embodies so many of the qualities we strive for—beauty, intelligence, and a joyful, well-balanced temperament. Karma is a truly special part of our program. She is dual registered (ASDR/AKC) with strong Timberline bloodlines, and she carries a calm, steady presence that is rare in the Miniature Australian Shepherd breed.
What sets Karma apart is her temperament. She is incredibly level-headed, gentle, and intuitive. While Aussies are known for their energy, Karma brings a beautiful balance -she is attentive and intelligent, yet naturally calm and easy to live with.
Her unique dual-colored eyes add to her striking appearance, but it’s her personality that truly makes her stand out. Karma passes down her steady, trainable nature and emotional awareness to her puppies, helping produce well-balanced companions that thrive in family environments.
